October 2014 is Spina Bifida Awareness Month

Recently the state senate adopted a New York State legislative resolution to proclaim that October 2014 is Spina Bifida Awareness Month in New York State.

To celebrate this occasion, we invite you, your family and friends to join us for the following events:

  • Wednesday, October 1 – Board invitees will meet with Sen. Joseph Robach, who sponsored this legislation, to officially kick off Spina Bifida Awareness Month activities.
  • Thursday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m. The Cincinnati Children’s Hospital – Pena Colorectal Center’s Bowel Management Program will present information on their programs and services at the Al Sigl Center Cafeteria – 1000 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester 14620.
  • Tuesday October 21 at 6:30 p.m. Linda Burdett of Azure Learning will present onĀ Executive Functioning Difficulties and Non-Verbal Learning Disabilties – Strategies for HomeĀ at the Pieters Family Life Center Conference Room – 1025 Commons Way Rochester 14623
  • Saturday October 25 from 12-4 p.m. Bowling for Spina Bifida Awareness will be held at Clover Lanes – 2750 Monroe Avenue, Rochester 14618
