GRSBA Board Of Directors Open Positions

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, consider running for a BOD position for this upcoming term.  Attached is an excerpt of the GRSBA Bylaws, which outline the responsibilities of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. (The full version of the Bylaws of The Greater Rochester New York Spina Bifida Association can be found on the GRSBA website.)

The Board of Directors shall be comprised, at a minimum, of the following:

  • Current President (Executive Committee)
  • Vice President (Executive Committee)
  • Secretary (Executive Committee)
  • Treasurer (Executive Committee)
  • Association Attorney
  • Medical Advisor
  • Parent Representative
  • Two Adults with Spina Bifida
  • Four Members at Large

All Board Members shall serve a term of two years. In light of the fact that there is not a current governing body, ALL positions are open.

PLEASE submit your nomination for any of the above-mentioned positions as soon as possible, which will provide the opportunity to list your nomination in the Official Meeting and Election Notice that will be sent January 14, 2022.  Nominations should be sent by the following means: Postal Mail (Preferably received by January 14th), Email, Text, or Private Facebook Message, or Phone call.  GRSBA contact information for nominations is as follows:

  • Name of individual being nominated (self or others)
  • Position of interest
  • Brief description of yourself or individual being nominated
  • Why you would like to join the GRSBA Board of Directors

 

This Call for Nominations, General Meeting and Election of Officers is vital to the sustainability of GRSBA!  Volunteers are making every possible effort to prevent the dissolution of GRSBA, however, this can only occur if we have members who are willing and able to serve on the Board of Directors.
